Who We Are
Founded by Brian Kellett and Chris Loveland, Diptek provides solutions for specialised problems in the field of drill and blast Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QAQC).
Through the use of the patented Diptek System we ensure conformance and compliance to the feedback loop required for blast hole QAQC. The trust in this feedback loop delivers downstream profitability, performance, and sustainability to the open pit drill and blast activity.
Our Vision and Mission
Our vision is to advance the feedback loop of blast hole QAQC by enabling field data to be easily collected and effortlessly fed into databases to output trusted and usable data sets.
When the input data is trusted these data sets can be relied upon to enhance value for the operation. The most widely known example being the enhancement of crushing throughout while simultaneously reducing blockages and bridging.

Meet the team
A Drill and Blast Specialist of over 17 years as a career drill and blast engineer. Brian’s passion is in seeing blasting done right, efficiently, and safely. A deep belief in the foundations of QAQC and continuous improvement has resulted in the delivery of core solutions across various commodities and technically challenging blasting projects from urban construction sites to remote pacific islands.
Brian takes a practical hands-on approach and has a strong appreciation for on-bench applications and practices beyond just engineering challenges. His experience includes but is not limited to optimisation of open-cut blasting outcomes. advanced initiation sequencing using various electronic initiation and non-electric systems to promote improved fragmentation and/or vibration control, vibration/overpressure prediction and analysis, in-hole VOD monitoring, muck pile fragmentation analysis, blast movement monitoring for tracking ore movement, and UAV photogrammetry for muck pile profiling.
Brian’s contribution to the Diptek system has been from the ground up from field user ergonomics to end data use cases.
A mining engineer of over 14 years of operations across numerous commodities and companies. Working with large and small contractors, owner-operators, site technical, and corporate teams he has developed as a master of many trades in the open pit mining environment. His experience includes statutory Quarry management/Registered manager duties (of over 10 years), production management, technical management, mine planning, drill and blast, projects, and incident investigation to name a few.
Chris’s contribution to the Diptek system has been big picture compliance and conformance of data and the value chain that can be delivered once data is trusted.
